HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate, a material used to make tables, among other things.
HPL is produced by stacking several sheets of phenolic resin-impregnated kraft paper and then pressing them under high pressure and temperature. This creates a durable, strong and scratch-resistant surface that is resistant to impact, moisture and heat. An HPL table will have a smooth, uniform surface that is resistant to stains and scratches. The edges of the table would be straight and smooth, and the corners would be rounded to avoid injury. HPL tables are available in a variety of colors and patterns, from solid colors to wood and stone finishes. The legs of an HPL table are usually made of metal or wood and are bolted to the bottom of the table. The legs can be adjusted to level the table on uneven surfaces.
